Privacy Policy
Axisco ("we", "us", "our") operates the website axisco.ca and provides scan-to-BIM, laser scanning, and as-built documentation services across the Greater Toronto Area. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
When you fill out our contact form, request a quote, or email us, we collect:
- Name and company name
- Email address and phone number (if provided)
- Project details you share (type, size, timeline, description)
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical information when you visit:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed, time on page, and referring URL
- Standard log data generated by our hosting provider
Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 may set cookies to distinguish users and measure engagement. These cookies collect anonymized data only. You can opt out of GA4 via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and send you a project proposal
- To schedule scans, coordinate deliverables, and manage the engagement
- To send project updates, invoices, and related communications
- To improve our website, services, and customer experience
- To comply with legal or regulatory obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We will not send you marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
3. How we share information
We only share your information with:
- Service providers who help us operate (form processor, email host, analytics) — bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Modeling partners we engage to deliver your project — only the project data needed to complete the scope of work, under an NDA.
- Legal authorities, if required by applicable Ontario or Canadian law or a valid legal process.
4. Data retention
We retain project-related information for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver our services and meet legal and accounting requirements (typically 7 years for invoicing records under Canadian law). Contact-form inquiries that do not become projects are deleted after 12 months. You can request deletion earlier (see Section 6).
5. Security
We use reasonable physical, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information — including TLS encryption for data in transit, access controls for project files, and NDAs with our team. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights
Under PIPEDA (Canada) and similar provincial legislation, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Withdraw consent for non-essential processing at any time
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@axisco.ca and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
8. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — please review their privacy policies separately.
9. Changes to this policy
